The Shippable Slow Feeder is the same size as the regular Full Bale Slow Feeder but designed to split into 2 parts so it can ship individually with standard UPS Or Fed X ground shipping. Once assembled (Takes about 15-20 minutes) it holds the same amount of hay and has the same warranty as the standard feeder. The Shippable Feeder is made from the same mold, but modified with a reinforced center piece to join the two halves together. These feeders have been tested for several years in varying conditions and offer the same quality as the classic one piece feeder.
Our Slow Feeder is safe for both Shod and Barefoot horses. The feeder is made of Polyplastic which is able to withstand temperatures of -40 to 120 degrees fahrenheit. It's also non-corrosive, tough and durable and it won't break if kicked by a horse. It has 2 different changeable settings for net placement, allowing for either 1 or 2 bales of hay at a time. Set the net to the bottom setting for shod horses and the top setting for barefoot horses. Legs raise the feeder high enough to not allow pawing inside the bin. This feeder is 6' Long x 2' Wide x 2' Deep and 3' High with the legs.

*Black feeders are made using recycled plastic. This is both good for the environment and boasts the same quality and warranty as the colored feeders. The red and green feeders cost $25 more due to the more expensive manufacturing process. Split feeders are currently ONLY available in Black and Red colors.

Happy Grazers' nets cannot be found anywhere else in the US Market as they are made Exclusively for our feeder. Made out of a highly advanced form of knotless netting that delivers superior strength and performance over conventional netting, The patented process maximizes fiber attributes that eliminate knots. The braids are balanced with a 4 strand construction and filaments run continuously throughout the netting so strength is enhanced.
You should expect the nets to shrink during initial usage. Nets will shrink up to 50% of the original size and depending on your horse's feeding habits, this will take 3-6 months on average. Once shrunk, the nets will stay at that size for the life of the net.
1-1/4" new will become 5/8" - 3/4" shrunk
1-3/4" new will become 7/8" - 1" shrunk
